I made rock art yesterday in the woods next to a footpath. It was a heart shape with a line of heart-shaped reddish rocks down the middle. It's in a place that has had rock art circles and hearts &c for years.

I'm sorry I didn't have my camera but it probably would've been too dark by that time of night under dense tree cover. You'd have especially appreciated my rock sculpture as it was the kind of art that involved crawling around in the woods. :-)

Thank you! The rocks here tend to be red/pink/grey and for some reason naturally break down into heart shapes. ♥

Very restful, with all that warm terracotta brown, and the brightness/vividness of the yellows and blues are surprisingly well balanced to my eyes.

I wasn't feeling it, I couldn't think of things to draw, and so in the end I drew a mug of tea only I was drinking it while also trying to draw it, and I can't ellipses any more. So this shows me areas I should work on, anyway.

It was a fruity spiced nectarine tea which smells of cloves but tastes only of nectarines. It did not live up to expectations but I have a whole box of it to get through.

It'd be kinda interesting to draw a mug/glass/plate every day for a week though. Maybe even the same mug with differing effects.

Just add your preferred spice to the infusion? You could have a new nectarine tea every day!

Thank you. As has become my wont, I snagged the three of the colors with the eyedropper tool from a photograph. And then, I fiddled with the brightness. It was a photo of summer-blooming flowers in a garden, which seemed a promising place to start.

I had customizing to do over at Spoonflower, so it was late by the time I decided to do original art and then I got sucked into google images looking at wild cats. BUT! I finally did draw with Sharpie and etch an African Golden Cat on a sample piece of maple flooring. And then I made it into a Spoonflower design.

Ok, this time I w ent with 'size 20' on the LJ photo posting- works good, and if you click it opens the full size in a new page.

Very nice abstract! The separation of yellow/blue makes it lively and the overall redbrown ties it together.
