Thank you! I liked the composition: half and half with a line through the middle and punctuation in the top right. The rippling reflections are interesting too, especially as the water there isn't usually still enough for clear images because of ducks and fish &c.

Thank you! The water isn't usually still enough for reflections because of the many ducks so I had to cap it quickly before the next flotilla passed.

I'm sure the ducks here might like to spend more time sleeping on the bank but they've traded peaceful naps in the countryside for armies of townie toddlers feeding them unsuitable white bread, lol. /evolution, apparently

Took FOREVER. I started out using a photo I took at the zoo for reference, and drew a pencil drawing. Then the scanner was EVIL, and I had to restart the scanner and computer several times before it would work. Then I cleaned up the drawing and increased the contrast but it still looked dull, so then I eyedroppered a few colors from the photo and painted a low opacity 'wash' over it and it STILL didn't please me, so then I used the virtual finger painting to smudge it and FINALLY I liked it.

So here, have an all-day gorilla. ;^)

(I suggested to a local office with an EVIL photocopier that they should stick an evil moustache on it as a warning and to raise its self-esteem so it doesn't feel the need to be so attention-seekingly EVIL, lol.)
