That site is great for getting ideas going- I often use it with the freehand and make doodles and scribbles until I start to see something in them.

It's particularly nice that it has an undo function that can take it back so if you have an idea that could work down two paths you can try one, screen shot it, and then undo to where the idea split and try a second version.

The only real drawback is the woefully limited color selection.

I didn't know it had an undo function. That is handy when you can't decided on a pattern idea or know what you're doing!

I can see how it could lead to a tablecloth making addiction;)

If you do click there, the page you get not only explains it, it gives two more options- a 'frieze' repeat which just goes across as a stripe, and a circular repeat- like a snowflake, but you can choose the number of 'slices' etc.

Aha, yes, I did look at it before I started but my mind went 'Maths!' and ran away without reading properly!

There's art in math. ;^) It's a pity most of us are taught that math is dull and difficult.

Numbers need love, too. :^)
