I am currently staying in a village where Leslie Hore-Belisha once lived. Belisha beacons were named after him, so I have made a small Belisha beacon from a balloon, paper and gaffer tape:

Yay, I remembered! I found a photo I'd taken a few years ago at a local park, and used it as photo reference to draw this calf. Graphite is messy, and so is my scanner, so I had to clean it up a bit, and while I was at it, I gave it a softly tinted background.

I looked up the Dreamwidth faq- it says that Facebook images generally won't work. It's too much info to put in a comment, so here's the link for you to check it out yourself.

I haven't tried it, but apparently Dreamwidth will host images for account holders. Limit varies by account type.

I was intrigued by the tentacle thing because of a tutorial. I'm still not as good as I'd like to be with matching selections to the background image, but overall I'm happy with it. :D

(Full disclosure: I finished this today, but started working on it a few months ago, then picked it up again yesterday.😅)
