It is now the 3rd of August in my timezone. Day Three of NaArMaMo! Don't worry, if you haven't done something for Day Two yet, you can catch up, and post it in Day Two's post. This here is the post for Day Three.
(Suffering from insomnia again, I've been awake since 3AM, ugh. So I'm doing this post now (at 6AM) and then going back to bed and hopefully sleeping.)
You have all day to do this. You can do this! You can MAKE ART!
Post your pictures from 3rd August as comments to this thread, or just describe what you made.

Digital Doodle
Date: 2021-08-03 11:45 am (UTC)I had a plan. The only part of the plan that I stuck to was having a logarithmic spiral as a background. I hadn't known one could generate logarithmic spirals in Gimp, but there it is, under Filters -> Render -> Patterns -> Spiral. So, hey, logarithmic spirals FTW! The other parts of the plan were to play around with my tablet, use the pen, draw something freehand on top of the spiral. I started, but hated how crappy it was, so I erased it and played with Bezier curves instead. (I am a coward)
Still, logarithmic spirals and curves are nice.
And of course my favourite, a spiral gradient with a difference filter.

Date: 2021-08-03 07:50 pm (UTC)It's a very simple drawing 'toy' with a few drawbacks. The only way I can save is by screenshot. (there's a save button which just gives me a blank page- try it anyway, it might work for a different device/browser than mine.)
Also, there's no eraser, BUT if you click on the background while holding the 'alt' key (option on Mac) you can change the color to match the background and paint over.
It is fun, though, and easy to figure out.

Date: 2021-08-03 08:02 pm (UTC)According to this FAQ it could be that it's got an 'access-only' setting, and if that's the problem you can go to the Manage Images page and change it to allow public viewing.

Date: 2021-08-03 08:18 pm (UTC)That's weird. I clicked on something that said 'reply' and instead it posted my email. OOPs.
Oh, well. Computer. sigh They do what they want.

Date: 2021-08-03 08:31 pm (UTC)Went for a walk. Saw a playground through a hole in the wooden fence. Remembered that Wikimedia is having a competition about playgrounds as well as photographing into the light. I like photographing things through holes in fences. It looks over exposed - oh well.

Date: 2021-08-04 08:13 am (UTC)To commemorate this occasion, I imagined a giant marble run where you could roll picked onions and they'd roll through the pub. It may well get barred.
Here's a sketch:
