I drew a screw top bottle (top off) and was very pleased with the neck but the shading went awry on the body.

The arty bollocks generator says: "The viewer is left with an epitaph for the limits of our condition."

There are limits to our ability to draw simple objects... that quote is very suited to caption many of my efforts.

Drawing is such a good thing and I am sure your bottle would welcome some good drink, no matter the shading!

What's this peculiar device?

It's a hand exerciser thing with a spring in it. After a couple of months of using it while watching TV, I can open my own jam jars again! Note that it is no longer on the lowest possible resistance setting ;)

I especially like how you've captured its three dimensionality with comparatively few clean curving lines (the lines of least resistance? ;-) ).

I couldn't open a jar of sauerkraut recently but I just bang the lid until the seal pops, lol. >:-)

I'm surprised that it's so easy to read the words in order with this layout - my eye went to the bottom left first as soon as I looked at it.

I really like this one in its shape and simplicity of line, but the message here is more readily parsed as a universal statement of truth, whereas the earlier version made me feel off-balance not just because of its shapes but because it started me thinking about my own identity... whether I know a word to name it or not, whether I'm ready to name whatever it is, things like that.

Too hot for functional brain, and then I conked out and had a nap. But at least there's still the sketch.IO site for doodling.

So have a dragon and a smirky critter of nebulous species.

Definitely a critter, yes, I recognised the species immediately, because beasties have more horns and scales and teeth. ;-)

No brain or time, so I flipped open a wildlife books and drew some squirrels very quickly:

SQUIGGLE! I love the goofy face on the second squiggle, but the first Action Squirrel is my favourite because they do hold their tails exactly like that when they run. :-)
